Wolves Volleyball Claims Fourth Consecutive Region Championship
The MCC Wolves Volleyball Team continues to make history, claiming their fourth straight NJCAA Region 16 Division II Championship after defeating St. Louis Community College in four sets on Saturday.
The Wolves battled through a competitive match to earn the title, winning 3-1 with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 20-25, and 25-21. With the victory, MCC advances to the District Tournament, which will be hosted at Region 24 next Saturday, November 8th.
MCC's outstanding season was reflected in the postseason honors, as four Wolves earned First Team All-Region selections. Kaylee Kindall was named the Region 16 Player of the Year, while Jenna Burroughs, Aubrey Rhodes and Holly Montague, also earned spots on the All-Region First Team.
In addition, Addison McVicker and Brooklyn Tonroy received Second Team All-Region recognition for their strong contributions throughout the season.
Head Coach Rob Kaleikau was named the Region 16 Coach of the Year, marking another milestone in his leadership of the Wolves' program.
With momentum on their side and a championship legacy behind them, the Wolves now turn their focus to the District Tournament as they continue their pursuit of a national tournament berth.
