The MCC Wolves faced the Missouri State University–West Plains Grizzlies in a four-game, home and home series.
March 19 (at MSU–West Plains)
Game 1
The Wolves struck first with two runs in the opening inning, but the Grizzlies responded with five runs over the first two innings to take control. MCC was unable to recover as West Plains secured a 6–3 victory. Brandon Moore led the Wolves with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.
Game 2
A difficult start proved costly in game two, as MSU–West Plains erupted for 12 runs in the second inning to take command. Despite offensive efforts from MCC, the Grizzlies' bats were too much, resulting in a 19–12 loss. Chase Phillips led the Wolves, going 2-for-3 with two hits, two walks, and four RBIs.
March 21 (at Maple Woods)
Game 1
West Plains jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs over the first three innings. MCC chipped away with a run in the third and a two-run home run from Zack Craft in the fourth to cut the deficit to one. However, the Grizzlies pulled away with four runs in the fifth inning and went on to win 10–3.
Game 2
The Grizzlies once again started fast, scoring two runs in the first inning. MCC answered with five runs in the second and added another in the third to take the lead. West Plains battled back to tie the game in the fourth, but the Wolves responded with three runs in the bottom half of the inning. The Grizzlies tied it again in the sixth with a five-run frame, but MCC delivered the decisive blow with seven runs of their own to regain control. The Wolves held off West Plains the rest of the way to earn a 20–14 victory. The Wolves offense was led by Eden myers who went 5 for 6 with a double, a triple, two RBI's and four runs scored.
The Wolves return to action Tuesday as they host Neosho County Community College at Maple Woods Baseball Field.
