Yerington Wins Individual Title as Wolves Finish Fifth at MBU Invite
The MCC Wolves competed in the Missouri Baptist University Spring Invitational this week.
MCC opened the tournament with a team score of 309, finishing just three shots off the lead after day one. The Wolves followed with a 317 on day two.
Out of 10 teams, MCC placed fifth overall.
The Wolves were led by Stone Yerington, who turned in the top individual performance of the tournament. He carded rounds of 71 on both days to finish at 2-under par, earning individual medalist honors. Yerington was also the only player in the field to finish under par.
MCC also had another top-10 finisher, as Jack Mallroy placed tied for seventh with back-to-back rounds of 77.
The Wolves golf team will return to action later this month at the NJCAA Region 16/District Tournament.
