MCC men's soccer took on the 14th-ranked team in the nation, Johnson County Community College. The Wolves put up a determined fight, keeping the game close through the first 40 minutes behind a strong defensive effort.
Despite their efforts, JCCC broke through with two goals in the final five minutes of the first half. MCC goalkeeper Dayton Garrison was outstanding, recording 15 saves in the first half and finishing with 24 saves on the day.
Offensively, the Wolves struggled to find their rhythm. They registered four shots on goal, including one that struck the post, but couldn't find the back of the net, ultimately falling to JCCC, 3-0.
