After a two-hour weather delay, the Wolves picked up a run-rule victory in the first game of the double-header over the Mineral Area College Cardinals by the score of 11-2.
The bats were quiet for the Wolves until the fourth inning when they scored two runs thanks to a Gretchen Freeman double, a Daelyn Williams single, and a two-out RBI single from Riley Beard. The Wolves blew open the scoring in the top of the fifth inning as 15 batters came to the plate, with nine runs scoring runs on eight hits.
Riley Beard led the way with four RBI on two hits. Alahna Wilson and Freeman chipped in three hits, and Kaydence Enos had two hits.
Madison Stansbury was strong in the circle, surrendering six hits over five innings of work, walking one, and striking out three.
Game 2 was a pitchers dual, neither team pushed across more than two runs.
Riley Collins took the circle for the Wolves. The right hander gave up six hits over seven innings, only allowing two runs, and striking out five.
The Wolves offense was led by Kaydence Enos who had three hits and the game tying RBI in the seventh inning.
