The MCC Women's Basketball team looked to bounce back after an opening-game loss as they faced Southwestern Community College.
After a close, low-scoring first quarter, the Wolves took control in the second, led by Mirena King, who knocked down two three-pointers to help MCC build a commanding 25–11 halftime lead.
However, the Wolves couldn't maintain their momentum after the break. Southwestern clawed back to within three points by the end of the third quarter and carried that momentum into the fourth. MCC was outscored 41–21 in the second half, ultimately falling 52–46.
The Wolves return to action at home on Tuesday, November 11, at 5:00 p.m. when they take on Graceland University JV.
