The MCC Wolves came up short against Highland Community College on Thursday night, falling 62-53 despite a strong all-around effort. A'lurea Atkinson led the Wolves with a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Davariana Wagner provided a solid offensive spark, adding 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. On the defensive end, Tia Nance was relentless, recording 6 steals to help keep MCC competitive throughout the game.
The Wolves return to action Saturday when they take on Johnson County at 2pm.
