Taneisha Aeschleman officially tipped off her MCC coaching career in October of 2025.  Aeschleman brings over 10 years of coaching experience to position, by way of two high school coaching positions (Victory Christian and Jenks High School), and as the Women’s Assistant Coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  Her education background includes a bachelor's degree in human development and family science from Oklahoma State University–Tulsa, and a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  A former collegiate athlete, Taneisha played for the NJCAA Division II National Championship basketball team at Illinois Central College.  She is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

Aeschleman’s playing and coaching experience contributes to her ability to guide player development, recruit athletes, and build a successful program. She believes that discipline, teamwork, and emotional intelligence both on and off the court brings great success to any team or athlete.

When asked what she is most looking forward to this season, Coach “A” said, “watching our team grow, not just as players, but as young women.  We have a group that is hungry, hardworking, and committed to doing things the right way. I’m excited to see our chemistry come together, to watch us face challenges and respond with grit, and to celebrate the small wins along the way. More than anything, I’m looking forward to creating a culture where our players feel valued, confident, and motivated to give their best every day.  It’s about more than wins and losses.  It’s about growth, unity and representing MCC with pride.”

In the short time she has been in the Kansas City area, Taneisha has enjoyed the “city life” and steady stream of different events available across the metro.  When not coaching, she values spending time with her family, supporting her children and their activities.  Coach “A” also loves to shop and is in her “happy place” when settling down with a good book to read.
