2020-21 Season Recap
As with all our MCC athletics programs during 2020-21, this season was filled with unusual challenges. A typical August-November season was moved to January-March so that the teams could compete according to NJCAA health guidelines. Our volleyball team practiced in the fall, and then began competition with a number of matches against nationally ranked teams. The highly competitive schedule helped the team improve throughout the season, and resulted in our most complete team play at the season's end. The final record for the Wolves was 6-11, with a runner-up finish in the Region XVI championship match.
Four team members awarded First Team All-Region XVI honors, include sophomores Kyleighn Block, Whitney Smith, Lauren Tali and Reganne Young. Kyleighn Block was also awarded as MCC's Volleyball Athlete of the Year.
Our coaches are extremely proud of the team this year, as they were tasked with managing multiple adaptations that accompanied the COVID impacted season. In spite of the limitations on in-person learning, travel and meal restrictions, and practice adjustments, our players came through and represented themselves well both on the court and in the classroom. Our coaches and administration proudly recognize the efforts and accomplishments this team achieved through 2020-21. Well done Wolves!
Our program would like to give a shout out to the personnel with the MCC Athletic Department, MCC Admissions Office, Longview Community Center, our trainers at Rockhill Orthopedics, and Graphic Edge - for all they do to support Wolves volleyball. We couldn't do it without you – THANKS!
