Tribute to a model Student-Athlete
Aubrie is graduating from MCC this year as a highly decorated student-athlete. She is a two-time participant at the NJCAA National Cross Country meet, and achieved the top finish to date by an MCC runner at the national meet this year, placing 10th with a time of 19:53. In September of this school year, Aubrie was recognized as the NJCAA Cross Country DII Women's Runner of the Week. She was also honored by the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association as a Scholar All-American.
The RUN with the WOLVES 5K is a new event serving as a fundraising initiative for the MCC Athletic Department. As a part of the event, our MCC student-athletes were asked to help name the race as well as create the t-shirt design for the virtual 5K. The winning t-shirt design was created by Aubrie. Not bad for finishing off an impressive liste of accomplishments in a two-year span as an MCC Wolf!
KUDOS to Aubrie Heck! We wish her the best at her next stop at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she will study Art Therapy and no doubt will continue to be a high achiever academically, athletically, and in pursuit of her post-graduate career!
